The man behind the camera

I am a 21-year retired Coast Guard veteran and after another successful carrier in telecommunication it was time to retire again and shift my focus and passion to conservation photography. During my Coast Guard career, I got to see the world from above the Arctic Circle to the Southern Caribbean, with voyages to Europe mixed in between. It was during my Coast Guard carrier that I knew someday I would jump into photography full time, photographing the sites of what our world has given us.
My passion, with the constant support of my wife who truly makes it all possible, is to continue to take pictures that go with stories, or even better: the picture that tells the story.
As a volunteer land steward in an urban environment, I get to see how nature and the natural world around us can make a difference in our lives. By photographing these locations, I hope those who see my pictures are encouraged to get involved themselves and work with organizations to foster the growth of conservation and urban conservation areas.
Today I enjoy sharing my work with those involved with conservation initiatives and working with local organizations to provide tips/skills and lessons photographing nature and wildlife.
